On the cover of the new self-titled album of Avril Lavigne, appears to have grown , it has a rigid expression and dark makeup lining your eyes.
But first he sings in the album is " I do not mind my makeup " ("I do not care about my makeup" ), so probably best to heed the old advice that the books have to be judged by its content and not by the cover. With Avril Lavigne 's many funny pop anthems that she would be the first to admit , but Canada can not be very deep . Sophistication is not your thing, but on the CD seems to be friction between the urge to maintain their youth and that leads her to grow. In this interview, Lavigne is so relaxed and confident as intended us believe in their songs.
The feeling that makes me this album is definitely a feeling of summer. It does not seem very consistent for November shows songs like " Bitchin ", " Summer" and " Sippin on Sunshine" .
- It's funny because I wondered if this album was going to be only a summer release . We were writing a lot at the time and I wanted to have a song mid-year , you know : driving good feelings and good times. For a week I wrote such letters . But this album has songs like " Bitchin ", " Summer" and " Sippin on Sunshine" . And, well , rock and roll also has this kind of feeling . The release of the recording was provided for before, but they changed the date three fucking times.
You seem caught between the feeling of " I'm here to not grow " and to be mature ...
- Not as deep , musically speaking . I like being on stage and write pop-rock songs . That's what everyone wants to hear from me, and that's when everyone behaves like a monkey and raises his fist . But I have different sides : I enjoy sitting at the piano and tell a story thoroughly and write an emotional ballad, but I also love rock , so on this disc have the song " Bad girl" and " Hello Kitty" , which has a feeling Average electronic grunge . The album is diverse and wanted to write all types and possible encouragement.
There are also many mentions of drunkenness . I do not feel that there will be a direct reference to the record on the radio .
- ( Laughter)
Are there people who tell you they can not put your record on the radio by content type ?
- There is a clean version and an explicit . It's definitely something that I think, but then comes the opportunity to offer me two options.
On this album works quite your husband , Chad Kroeger . I 've heard it's like a snapshot of the development of their relationship. Where does the creative process they realized that there was something ? At what point to be composing and working together they realized they were in love ?
Well, work on the album and he was on tour . Then he left and then returned to work. We work at different times. When I took a break after the end of the tour , I moved to France alone . He came to visit and was the first time we were together without the presence of the work .
Any product that song was born courtship ?
- We have a duet on the disc. That song was the first time we worked together . Then , we also work on a track called " I said that I love you" , and was also a duet , and is unpublished.
